Last Call for the NeverTrumpers
Nevertheless, unlike the NeverTrumpers, they examined the alternatives, thought about the future of the country and their families, and made an educated, though not always perfect, choice, which they stuck with. (To be fair, also unlike the NeverTrumpers, none of these people, as far as I know, had professional media affiliations and/or public profiles they wished to protect.)
So the NeverTrumpers are at a crossroads, consciously or not. The hour is late, to say the least. The election is clearly close, though how close -- after the current revelations -- is difficult to tell.
I recognize it's also problematic, even anguishing, for people to change their minds -- especially in public. I've eaten my share of crow on several painful occasions. (Check the Wayback Machine.) But you don't have to eat crow. You just have to get on board the Trump Train -- provisionally. There'll be plenty of time to get off later and assert your bona fides.
So I urge the NeverTrumpers to reconsider -- quite a few have already done so -- because if Trump loses by a narrow margin, they, and the rest of us, might quickly regret the significant role that they played to make that happen.
Like all of us, the NeverTrumpers will have to live with the results. What that aftermath will be not even Nostradamus could predict (and those who have studied Nostradamus know he wasn't so accurate either). Still, with Hillary in the White House (and under continuous investigation, of course), forget the Nixon years, the USA could easily be in for its rockiest epoch since the Civil War, this time with global implications. The situation could literally be horrific.
How horrific? This post by Tyler Durden of ZeroHedge ("John Podesta's Best Friend At The DOJ Will Be In Charge Of The DOJ's Probe Into Huma Abedin Emails") that appeared as I was writing gives only an early hint of the level of corruption we will be (already are) facing. Banana Republic stuff, no? (And you wondered why Obama was praising Comey. Beware.)
As the old saying goes, we will either hang together or hang separately. Note that, please, please, please, NeverTrumpers.
