We’ve now got one of those stupid COVID curfews here in my hometown and I’m not in the mood for it even though I don’t go anywhere lately.
My Morning Briefing goes live very early so I’m working on it all night, five nights a week. It’s not like a curfew is really going to cramp my style.
Still, I’m a grown-a** American man and I don’t like the government overstepping its boundaries and telling me that I can’t do something that’s already legal.
Like leaving my house.
How much am I willing to #Resist? That’s what we are talking about here today. As far as I can tell, I’m not being threatened with jail time here if I break curfew. That wasn’t clear at the time I recorded, however. There is a hefty $2500 fine though, which I would never pay. Jail might get thrown into the picture then. I’m not fond of institutional baloney sandwiches but I’m also not averse to taking one for the team every now and then.
I mention the “Lost Thanksgiving Episode” at the top of the show. We found it! It’s dated, but the sentiments are still valid so I will post that as well.
Enjoy the twofer!
