Christopher Coates has practiced voting and election law for over 39 years as a staff attorney for the Voting Rights Project of the ACLU, in private practice, and as an attorney in the Voting Section of the DOJ, including time as Chief of the Voting Section. He also serves as general counsel for the American Civil Rights Union.
