Washington D.C.'s Rat Protection Law

Virginia's Attorney General is concerned about the rats at the Occupy D.C. venues, because a law drafted I'm sorry to say by my very own councilwoman protects rats and mice and may require professional exterminators to gather together families of them and transport them elsewhere, Virginia being the most likely drop off point. CNS reports on this development.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli says he is worried that a new District of Columbia law that governs how pest control operators must handle rats may result in entire rodent “families” being relocated across the Potomac River into Virginia by D.C. pest control personnel.
