VIDEO -- Jon Stewart Laughs in Nancy Pelosi's Face Over Obamacare

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was in a position of some responsibility when Obamacare passed and became the law of the land. She was speaker of the House and led in crafting the bill. As a Democrat leader, she continued to bear some responsibility for the implementation of the law. She certainly took credit for passing it.

But last night, she told The Daily Show's Jon Stewart that she doesn't know why its rollout has been so awful.

The segment opens with Stewart asking a simple question: "I meant more in terms of like, ok -- we are going to set up a health care web site that is an exchange. People are going to come to it. Why is it so hard to get a company to execute that competently?"

Dumbfounded, Pelosi responds, "I don't know." After an awkward pause, Stewart bursts out laughing in her face and then riffs on her position in the Democratic Party.

"Uhhh -- let me get the House minority leader here, I can ask her. Hold on. Wait, what do you mean you don't know? How do you not know?"

Pelosi finishes up with a shirk: "It's not my responsibility. But I will say this: we worked very hard to honor our responsibility to pass a bill that honors the vows of our founders: life, a healthier life,  liberty to pursue your happiness."
