Um...Pew Poll: Abortion "not a key issue"
That's why it was never mentioned during the election, right?
In a poll released Wednesday, the Pew Research Center found that 53% of those surveyed said abortion “is not that important compared to other issues,” up from 48% in 2009 and 32% in 2006. The percentage viewing abortion as a “critical issue facing the country” fell from 28% in 2006 to 15% in 2009 and now stands at 18%, the group said.
Perhaps it's time to have a national conversation about banning pollsters. One only has to compare the results of this poll with the stark reality of every presidential election in recent memory. The most vulnerable candidate in 2012, Claire McCaskill, is still a United States Senator because of one abortion question. Democrat candidates mumble "take away a woman's right to choose" in their sleep.
If it really isn't an issue how is it still so effectively used to move voters?
