Questions Lester Holt Should Ask Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on #DebateNight

Debate night is finally here.

NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt will moderate the first debate between Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton. He’ll cover three topics in the course of tonight’s face-off: “America’s Direction," "Achieving Prosperity," and "Securing America.”

While the questions are likely all set by now, we thought we’d ask our audiences on Facebook and Twitter what SHOULD be asked of the candidates on centerstage tonight. After all, we believe that it’s your voice that ultimately matters when it comes to picking our next president.

Here's a summary of what some of you said:

1. There’s substantively more for Hillary Clinton to account for than Donald Trump tonight.

2. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton don’t deserve ANY softballs tonight.

3. What about Governor Gary Johnson?

4. America

There you have it: The American people have spoken, but it doesn’t end here.
