Obama Quick to Note Roger Ebert's Death, Said Nothing After America's Most Prolific Sniper was Killed
This afternoon, President Obama was quick to tweet on news that longtime movie critic Robert Ebert had passed away at the age of 70.
"The movies won't be the same without Roger." —President Obama— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) April 4, 2013
Ebert had become known in recent years for being a doctrinaire liberal in his politics. Obama's tweet came out within a half hour of the critic's passing.
On February 2, 2013, former SEAL Chris Kyle was murdered while trying to help a fellow former soldier deal with post traumatic stress disorder. Kyle served four tours of duty in Iraq, during which he became the most prolific sniper in US military history.
President Obama has yet to acknowledge Kyle's passing.
