Obama Adviser David Axelrod Ends Post-Shooting Detente

The Obama and Romney campaigns pulled advertising and went into a quiet mode following the mass shooting at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, CO early Friday morning. That detente ended abruptly this morning. Top Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod launched two attacks on Mitt Romney on Twitter today, accusing Mitt Romney of secrecy and then linking to a CNN story that has either gone offline since Axelrod's tweet, or he botched the link. The link Axelrod tweeted no longer works.

The attack on secrecy comes from a campaign led by a candidate who still has not released his college transcripts, and whose autobiographies have been found to be full of composite characters and made-up events that were written into Obama's life as seminal moments.
