Obama Administration Names Advocate for Those 'In Immigration Proceedings'
Meaning, for illegal aliens.
The Obama administration on Tuesday announced a new "public advocate" charged with listening to immigrants' concerns about its law enforcement policies — but Republicans said the position amounts to an official mouthpiece for illegal immigrants being deported.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the advocate will "serve as a point of contact for individuals, including those in immigration proceedings, NGOs and other community and advocacy groups, who have concerns, questions, recommendations or other issues they would like to raise."
Is there an advocate for citizens not in immigration proceedings, but who have "concerns" about administration policies? Because I have a few. Let's start with the TSA... What, they don't want to hear from me?
You know what this is, right? It's a pander to the open borders segment of the Hispanic community, but it's also something else. It's a deliberate finger in the eye of anyone who wants our immigration laws enforced. It's a deliberate attempt to stir the pot, and generate some heated rhetoric, which the Democrats will then point at to try to convince Hispanic voters that the Republicans are a bunch of racists. It's a deliberate attempt to make people angry enough to pop off our mouths. That's what this is.
The administration, I think, expected blowback from its earlier decision to circumvent immigration law, but didn't get the hot blowback that it wanted. Naming an "advocate" who is paid by US taxpayers to essentially report to illegal aliens, though? That might generate some of the noise this devious administration seeks.
