Mukasey hammers Holder's DOJ

Jennifer Rubin scores an interview with former Attorney General Michael Mukasey. It is extremely rare for an Attorney General to criticize a successor.  It is even more surprising coming from an Attorney General like Michael Mukasey with his reputation for being measured and restrained.   For Mukasey to deliver such a broadside speaks volumes about the rot running the show at DOJ.

On Holder’s interview in the New York Times saying there is “no there, there” in the DOJ Inspector General’s Black Panther case investigation, Mukasey notes: “It seems to me you don’t whitewash such a thing.”

On Holder’s reopening of the investigation of the CIA agents collecting information on terrorists: “I have to believe that the effect on people involved in national security is devastating.”
