Tuesday's HOT MIC

Here is your HOT MIC for the day.

Michael, not an hour after that news was widely reported, this is what CNN's Brian Stelter was pimping, just because CNN can't help themselves:

Fake news indeed.

This certainly seems noteworthy:

Special Counsel Robert Mueller III informed President Donald Trump's attorneys last month that he is continuing to investigate the president but does not consider him a criminal target at this point, according to three people familiar with the discussions.

In private negotiations in early March about a possible presidential interview, Mueller described Trump as a subject of his investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election. Prosecutors view someone as a subject when that person has engaged in conduct that is under investigation but there is not sufficient evidence to bring charges.

The special counsel also told Trump's lawyers that he is preparing a report about the president's actions while in office and potential obstruction of justice, according to two people with knowledge of the conversations. Mueller reiterated the need to interview Trump - both to understand whether he had any corrupt intent to thwart the Russia investigation and to complete this portion of his probe, the people said.

Looks like the Dems are going to have to pin their hopes on that "blue wave" they just know is coming in November if they hope to get rid of Trump before 2021...

A Buzzfeed reporter collected all of the hoaxes that quickly spread as news of the YouTube shooting unfolded, this afternoon.

It's a really long thread.

A detail about the female shooter picked up by Fox News:

KGO-TV reported the shooter was believed to be a white woman wearing a headscarf and a dark top, but police did not immediately confirm it.

Witnesses told KTVU that the suspect shot her boyfriend before killing herself. According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities said the incident did not appear to be terrorism.

The first tweet is a screencap in case Trout -- romance novel pen name, Abigail Barnette -- decides to delete that one, too.

Inside every gun-grabber is a murderous totalitarian just killing to get out.
