Tuesday's HOT MIC

Here is your HOT MIC for the day.

I really like the cut of Ari Fleischer's jib. He won't let this go.

For those of you keeping score, the seven "Farrakhan-linked" members are Deputy Chair of the DNC Rep. Keith Ellison, and Reps Maxine Waters, Barbra Lee, Danny Davis, Andre Carson, Gregory Meeks and Al Green.

Last month the WSJ reported that Ellison attended a private dinner with the anti-Semitic Nation of Islam founder Louis Farrakhan.

According to The Journal, Ellison attended the event in New York in 2013. Both Farrakhan and Iranian President Hassan Rohani were present. Ellison had praised Farrakhan in the past, but repudiated him during his first Congressional run in 2006.

When the issue came up in 2016, Ellison accused his critics of "smearing" him and  called reports of his connection to Farrakhan "bad reporting," and a distraction. "We're talking about something that happened in 1995," he said, referring to an oped he'd written praising the anti-Semitic extremist.

I guess he'd forgotten about the private dinner in 2013.

Now we gun folk are bullies for insisting that anti-gun people get their facts straight:

It's infuriating to have a conversation with a frothing anti-gun person who thinks "semi-automatic" means "machine gun." Worse are the people who say things like "the NRA markets guns to children" and other wildly inaccurate hogwash.

Now, any call for precision and honest conversation is "always done in bad faith," according to the article.

So, the truth is now bad.

But these are the people who want to be the arbiters of what is "common sense" when I comes to gun laws.

Granny is woke and the jokes are just sort of writing themselves now:

Nothing says, "We want to win back Middle America" like doing GOTV plugs on a reality show about drag queens. That out to speak to the hearts of the disaffected Rust Belt electorate. Thankfully, Pelosi seems less drunk in still photos.
