Tuesday's HOT MIC
This is interesting because it is from The New York Times Opinion section and there is actually some balance:
The article, while not very in-depth (it's the Opinion section, after all), does at least provide differing perspectives on the N.H.S. Typically, whenever any mainstream media outlet writes about Britain's national healthcare, the standard procedure is to find a few young Americans who have never dealt much with health care here but spent a few months in England, got the flu, and suddenly fell in love with taxpayer-funded medicine. They're confirmation bias ("Yay single-payer!") fluff pieces and nothing more. I don't even know that many Brits and it probably wouldn't take me more than thirty minutes to find ten of them who are disgruntled with the N.H.S.
Side note: I made need some medical attention after writing something that was almost nice about the Times Opinion page.
Are we SURE he wasn't joking?
Kudos to the prime minister for managing to be sad, funny, and cringe-inducing all at the same time.
I will be on The Larry O'Connor show on WMAL around 5pm. Tune in to hear me talk about Carter Page and other RUSSIAN collusion developments. You can listen live HERE!
Just as God and Robert A Heinlein intended:
