Author/journalist/blogger Jack Cashill continues his great work at The Sentinel covering the left and correcting false media narratives in Kansas and Missouri.

In a recent piece we learn that MU (aka Mizzou), even in the wake of dwindling enrollment and alumni support, is launching a goofy new SJW "healing" program.

Having established itself as the national poster child for campus dysfunction, the University of Missouri seems intent on preserving that distinction with its launch of a racially exclusionary program called “Healing From Racial Injustices.”

Healing from Racial Injustices describes itself as “a group for students, staff, and faculty of color to build community, share experiences as a person of color at a Predominately White Institution, and heal together.” The language reads like a parody, but it is apparently a real program with sponsors such as the Department of Black Studies, the College of Education, the Department of Psychological Sciences, the Division of Inclusion, Diversity and Inequity, and the Department of Educational, School, & Counseling Psychology. Your Missouri tax dollars at work!

One purpose of the group is to “process race-related macro and micro aggressions.” These aggressions must be more micro than macro as the group meets just one hour a week, on Friday from 2-3 p.m., pizza provided.

In an interesting aside, Cashill notes that there is just one comment on the group's Facebook page:

It features a photo of a group of chimpanzees under the heading “micro aggression session.” It was allegedly posted by a fellow named Peter Di Gaudio.

Well, that racist comment would certainly seem to prove the group's point about "macro and micro aggressions.”

But a deep dive into Di Gaudio's Facebook page finds him to be a Hillary supporter who hates Donald Trump. Hmmmm!

A Hillary Clinton supporter, he comments over a photo of Donald Trump, “If you are supporting Trump now, chances are you would have supported Hitler in Germany in the 1930s.” In another post, Di Gaudio links his love with his hate, “Do me a favor: if you support Donald Trump, unfriend me now. I cannot tolerate that level of stupid. I pull things out of the cats’ litterboxes smarter than Trump supporters.”

Stranger still, when one clicks the link to Di Gaudio it goes directly to The Bridge, another related MU program whose mission is “Connecting Our Shared Humanity” and which is actively promoting the Healing from Racial Injustices program.

Could this be an example of a fake micro-aggression? (Not that these types of comments actually need to be faked. Unfortunately, it has become distressingly commonplace for racist losers to stink up comment sections.)

The Sentinel vows to get to the bottom of it.

And now a little nightcap...

Fox News reports that people were putting sunscreen on their eyes during the eclipse.

A health professional in California reported cases where eclipse-viewers sought medical treatment because they put sunscreen on their eyeballs to view last week’s solar eclipse. reported that these individuals applied the sunscreen because they did not have the NASA-approved eyewear.

“One of my colleagues at moonlight here stated yesterday that they had patients presenting at their clinic that put sunscreen on their eyeball, and presented that they were having pain and they were referred to an ophthalmologist,” Trish Patterson, a nurse at Prestige Urgent Care in Redding, Calif., said.

The Sun also reported that doctors in Virginia have reported patients complaining of applying sunscreen to their eyes.

This will probably move into the Top 100 on my very lengthy list of reasons that I don't want to pay for the health care of strangers. Ever.

These are the kinds of people who tend to go into government work these days. One of them will probably end up being our HISTORIC FIRST blind president.

Here's a guy who has his priorities in proper order.

Deb--the New York Times answered your question about what the MSM is willing to admit about antifa:

Antifa is the backlash to the backlash, a defensive response to the growing presence of right-wing extremism.

So the poor dears are merely defending themselves against something that, for the most part, is a problem that the MSM is creating almost out of whole cloth. I'm certain we can expect more antifa apology pieces to be offered from the MSM, rather than any real truth-telling.

It's been awhile since we at Hot Mic highlighted an awesome tweet from America's #1 sweetheart, Chelsea Clinton. We didn't mean to ignore her, honest.

Yeah, she confused some people with that one.

No, Chelsea did not spend a year in Arpaio's Tent City. She was quoting from the article but forgot to include quotation marks.

Disasters tend to bring out the worst in some people and the best in others.

Here are some of the heroes of Houston:

Update on that poor man seen on video being brutalized by Antifa nazis in Berkeley yesterday.

He wasn't a white supremacist or "alt-righter" or a Trump supporter. He was reportedly a random dude on his way to the store when he was accosted by the maniacal Antifa thugs and beaten into a coma.

Is the MSM ready to admit that there is an "alt-left" now -- and they are much more dangerous to public safety than the alt-right?

Your Friendly Neighborhood VodkaPundit reports in live (if barely) from the south of France, where I was introduced yesterday to...

A Drinking Club With a Running Problem.

On, on!

It turns out that leftists aren't the only ones who fake hate crimes. A guy who said he was stabbed by an "anti-fascist" for looking like a neo-Nazi has come clean and said he made the whole thing up.

Sheridan Police say the man who reported he was stabbed in a fast food restaurant’s parking lot due to his ‘Neo Nazi’ haircut made the whole thing up…

Joshua Witt, 26, called police on Aug. 16 from the Steak ‘n Shake at 3502 South River Point Parkway. He told officers he had been the victim of a stabbing…

Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the area where Witt said the attack occurred: it showed no suspect running from the scene.

What it did show, however, was Witt exiting a nearby sporting goods store after purchasing a small knife inside.

Witt claims he cut himself "accidentally," which if fine -- but why perpetrate a hoax playing the victim?

You don't have to be a liberal to crave the attention garnered by pretending you're a victim. In this case, not only do people feel sorry for Witt but he also gets his 15 minutes as a hero on the right.

Heady stuff, that.

Peak Slate?
