Former Obama State Dept. Spox Marie Harf made the point on Fox News that if Kavanaugh gets confirmed -- which she noted may happen -- it will work politically better for Democrats because women will be so fired up.
But I strongly doubt that Democrat women are any more fired up than Republican women (and men) by this whole disgraceful affair.
After this @#$%&-show, whether he's confirmed or not, a lot of Republicans would crawl over broken glass to vote against the Dems on Nov. 6.
All that counts now is: Does the Senate vote to confirm, or will one or two defectors effectively finish off the GOP?
Please share your thoughts in the comments, and we'll talk again tomorrow.
Jeff Flake is speaking, and he seems to be signaling his support for Kavanaugh, but there's always that doubt that he might do just about anything to embarrass Trump.
As others have said already, this is the hill to die on for the GOP.
Merrick Garland has been trending on and off. By the way, this is utterly false.
Erickson is right on this.
