Boy, do I ever agree with SFK and second this motion: abolish Daylight Saving Time. Because I live half my life on an airplane (I just did business across eleven time zones in June and July), the additional fiddling with an extra hour here and there -- maybe, sometimes -- is just nuts. Set the clock at GMT, adjust everywhere else, and be done with it. Yes, this means the sun comes up in Ireland during the summer in the middle of the night and sets at 10 p.m. -- and it's pitch black most of the day in November and December -- but so what? In Honolulu the days are always just about the same length anyway.
