Special Olympics will be funded.

Override achievement unlocked!

Breaking from The Hill:

"The Special Olympics will be funded, I just told my people," Trump told reporters as he departed the White House for a campaign rally in Michigan.

"I've overridden my people," he added.

Fusion GPS may have targeted congressional staff...

Some gems from the Nellie Ohr testimony.

Oh, and Nellie Ohr would not have performed opposition research into Hillary Clinton of the same sort she performed into Donald Trump ... because she didn't want Hillary to lose.

WHAT IS THE CONSTITUTION AND HOW DOES IT WORK?!?!?

We have a winner.

AOC says Betsy DeVos has an "anti-everybody" agenda.

Um...

Yeah, no.

Horrible.

Mollie Hemingway, the Federalist, Liz Sheld, and those of us on the Trump-Russia skeptic side were proven gloriously right, but the mainstream media still won't admit it.

On "the Editors," a National Review podcast, NR editors suggested that the Mueller report will do serious damage to the media — a 7 or an 8 out of 10. Respectfully, I disagree. The blasting of the Trump-Russia #FakeNews should destroy the mainstream media, but it won't, because people don't think they have an alternative.

Perhaps I'm too much of a pessimist, but I don't really believe everyone will flock to PJ Media, the Federalist, and other conservative outlets just because the liberal media is so bad. Gatekeepers like Google and Facebook will still consider the legacy media "more reliable" than us, and only you, excellent readers, can help push back on this. Please do, but until Americans realize there are real and trustworthy alternatives, they'll keep going to The New York Times and The Washington Post.

Let's make this scandal hurt the media.

Meanwhile in Brunei...

So, I cover a lot of the SPLC slamming "anti-LGBT hate groups." But Brunei actually is institutionalizing anti-LGBT hate, by leveling the death penalty on people for same-sex activity.

Here's some stuff from the Family Research Council (FRC), an SPLC-designated "anti-LGBT hate group" that advocates against the death penalty for gay people. Who'd a thunk?

From February:

Family Research Council vigorously opposes acts of violence against anyone because of their sexuality. According to NBC, there are eight countries which permit the death penalty for homosexuality—most of them also known as abusers of religious freedom and other rights, and supporters of terrorism. An end to those laws, and other physical punishments such as flogging, is a legitimate goal.

It's almost like FRC isn't an "anti-LGBT hate group." But then the SPLC would be lying... that can't be, can it?

THREAD:

Good stuff. Click over.

Matt Sheffield over at The Hill:

Just 36 percent of registered voters in a new Hill-HarrisX poll say they would "definitely" or "probably" vote for President Trump's reelection...

But wait, there's more:

— an anemic number but one that is line with surveys about his immediate predecessors, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton at about this point in their presidencies.

For what it's worth, I think Dems have waaaaay overplayed their hand by jumping on the infanticide bandwagon. They set a huge trap for themselves and they're not bright enough to realize it. People at my church and Christians I know on Facebook are really upset by recent news out of New York and Virginia -- where lawmakers came out in favor of post-birth abortion. Upset doesn't adequately describe the mood -- they are distressed and want to know what they can do about it. It reminds me of the glory days of the Moral Majority, when evangelicals were a powerful voting bloc that lawmakers dared not cross. We'll see how the numbers play out as it gets closer to Election Day and we see more in-depth polls, but don't be surprised if this ends up being a major issue. GOPs from California (all four of them) to New York (both of them) should take this issue and run with it.

I'm sure some of our readers can relate:

As the parent of two adult sons, I would have been ashamed and embarrassed if they had ever set foot in a cry room or any other safe space on campus when they were in college.

Pro-tip: Raise your kids with a "don't call mom unless there's a bone protruding or a severed artery" mentality and they won't need safe spaces.
