Today of all days, let’s keep it civil, mmkay?
Shut it, Chuckie:
One of the most wearisome aspects of politics is the party that doesn't have the White House at the time complaining about presidential overreach as if it weren't happening all the time, especially in the last decade or so. Schumer didn't think the Constitution was being trampled upon when The Lightbringer was doling out executive orders like they were candy on Halloween. Trump is actually a little light on national emergencies compared to his predecessors too.
A lot of the Executive branch hyperactivity is Congress's fault anyway. Both chambers have devolved into media grandstanding and kicking the can down the road for future legislators. On many important issues (illegal immigration, for example) they have all but abdicated their legislative responsibilities. Into that void steps whichever president happens to be in office.
Do your damn job, Chuck.
I shouldn't have laughed but I did.
Here we go...
The SPLC has already tied Trump to the terrorist attacks in Christchurch.
The atrocity in New Zealand shows us, once again, that we’re dealing with an international terrorist movement linked by a dangerous white supremacist ideology that’s metastasizing in the echo chambers of internet chat rooms and on social media networks.
The caravans are a real problem, and Trump warning about them does not mean he's a white supremacist in league with the guy who shot up the mosques. Come on!
Reason Number 423,971,843 to despise the American mainstream media:
Have to be honest here: it took them a little longer to turn this into a bs referendum on "right wing violence" in America than I thought it would. The garbage narrative must go on...
As did many others:
My daughter is now a junior in college and the stress of the college application and admissions process is still fresh in my mind. It's torturous. I am not saying that I'm not grateful that she has the opportunity, just that I am a product of a time when it wasn't expensive and ridiculous so I know firsthand that it doesn't have to be the way it is now. Had my ex-wife and I been in the position to hire a pricey consulting firm to guide us in the process we very well may have.
Can I get an "Amen!"?
Back from a time out:
I wonder if temporary exile after old tweets are dug up will be the new version of celebrity sex rehab after being caught cheating on a spouse. I don't care which side of the political aisle anyone is on, by the way, I think that trying to ruin someone over old tweets is asinine and pathetic. IT'S FREAKIN' TWITTER, PEOPLE.
