Live Blog

Here is your live blog for the day.

Something to make you laugh this evening.

Police officers in Jordan, Minnesota were called to check on the welfare of a man standing motionless outside in the cold, wearing no coat and hugging a pillow. When officers arrived, they found the "man" was actually a cardboard cutout of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

“Those cardboard cutouts sure can look real from a distance and the caller certainly was not wanting to get too close thinking who is this deranged person standing outside in the cold hugging a pillow,” the Jordan Police Department shared in a Facebook post. “Always better to call the police.”

Lindell himself shared the police department’s post, calling it “Unreal!”

I'm hanging out at CPAC, and have been pushing out articles like there's no tomorrow. Here's one of the most powerful videos I got here at CPAC.

Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director, became a pro-life activist after realizing just what abortion does to a human being. She broke down in tears, suffering with the immense weight of guilt after being complicit with 22,000 abortions. But God's forgiveness is far greater than human sin — even the heinous sin of abortion.

Don't try this at home.

On second thought, if you must try it, home would be the proper place.

Have a good weekend.

Have at it, but keep it civil!*

*Unless some revolting troll shows up. Then have at them, instead.

Back in 1988, Letterman did a Top Ten List of Mike Dukakis Excuses for losing the election. The funniest item on the list was: "Ill-considered pledge to 'Tax you bastards back to the Stone Age'."

That's not a punchline anymore, is it?

Long-time Trump confidante Lynn Patton, the so-called "prop" who currently leads Region II of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, made a bombshell allegation in a little known (until now) Facebook post on January 18:

Via Conservative Treehouse:

3) Many of you may already know that I considered Michael Cohen to be one of my very best friends. Countless people can confirm that we were virtually inseparable during my employment at Trump – and that he is, single-handedly – responsible for introducing me to the Trump family and effectively changing my entire life. I would be lying if I didn’t admit that my heart still breaks for him and for his family, with whom I had grown extremely close.

4) What many of you may not be aware of is the fact that I can personally confirm that the ONLY reason Michael Cohen “turned on” the President of the United States is because Mueller threatened to throw his wife in jail for up to 30 years. Period. She is the co-guarantor of a $20M personal loan that Mueller discovered Michael secured back in 2015 by falsely inflating the value of his taxi medallions – effectively making her part & parcel to the federal charge of “Making False Statements to a Financial Institution,” to which Cohen ultimately plead guilty. This is also the reason why Cohen’s longtime taxi medallion partner, Evgeny “Gene” Freidman, was granted immunity.

5) Michael Cohen also told me (after they raided his apartment) that the reason why he elected to pay Stormy Daniels $130,000 by using his home equity loan - effectively committing bank fraud - instead of easily using the over $5M+ cash he has sitting in various stateside bank accounts is because his wife controls their finances and he simply did not want her to notice the missing money, as many husbands wouldn’t considering to whom it went. Period. Moreover, he confessed to me that he never imagined in a million years that Donald Trump would actually win the Presidency and that the misappropriation of his home equity loan would ever be exposed, since thousands of Americans misuse this type line of credit to pay for colleges, boats, cars and vacations every single day.

Whoa. Go ahead and read Patton's entire Facebook post. There's much more.

If it is accurate that prosecutors leveraged the potential prosecution of Mr. Cohen’s wife in order to gain his plea agreement – then not only were those threats unethical, demonstrably prosecutorial misconduct and potentially illegal, but also Michael Cohen’s denial therein means he would have lied to the court in his plea hearing as noted above.

However, this could explain how much control is being exerted over Cohen for maximum political value.  Remember this same prosecution twice agreed to defer Cohen’s imprisonment to afford him time to testify to congress.

This wouldn't be the first time one particular member of Mueller's team would have engaged in this type of prosecutorial misconduct, either.

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry will reportedly raise their baby 'gender fluid' and 'won't impose stereotypes' on it.

A source close to the couple told Vanity Fair that Meghan Markle, 37, was telling guests at her recent New York baby shower that she would raise their baby in a "fluid" way.

“She was talking openly about it,” said the source to the magazine.

“Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was 'fluid'.

"She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes."

I used to love the Olympics, with my first impression of them as a kid being Bruce Jenner's amazing 1976 Decathlon win. The less said about that, perhaps the better.

But two things have really turned me off in the last 15, 20 years or so.

The beginning of the end for me was the basketball "Dream Team" of the 1992 summer games. That pretty much shattered the ideal of amateur athletes competing for the thrill of it. The Olympics could survive Soviet bloc cheating by stacking their teams with pros-in-all-but-name, because the world knew that Communists just cheat at everything. When the West started doing it, that was just too much.

The real clincher though has been NBC's coverage. They used to do such a great job of bringing the Games into you living room, but that's a long time in the past. What we get is endless hours of human interest stories, interspersed on occasion by some sports. It's tedious, made worse by SJW nonsense. And don't get me started on Bob Costas.

And now the IOC has gone and ruined whatever was left of the women's events with this one stupid decision.

What a shame.

The press is lazy, and prefers horse race stories, or he said/she said stories, because they require much less work than "simple" just-the-fact-ma'am reports. Real journalism requires work. This kind of stuff doesn't require anything more than getting some juicy quotes.

And I'm sick of it.
