Live Blog

Here is your live blog for the day.

So, here's our president. In signing the farm bill, he posts a throwback video of himself singing about farms.

And he needs to take criticism better when it comes to Syria.

Twelve debates.

There will be 12 Democratic debates. Grab your popcorn now.

If it's true that Trump unfollowed Ann Coulter over her snark about the wall, he has some serious work to do on taking criticism from friends. Ann was his first and biggest supporter. She has been trying to get his attention for two years now about the importance of building the wall and keeping his promise. If her barbs have really gotten to him to the point where he has had to unfollow her, perhaps we've found the way forward. If saying mean things about Donald Trump is what gets him to act like the president we voted for, I'm in.

If he thinks reading Ann's tweets are bad, wait till the rest of us (who have been nothing but complimentary) get going. It's going to get ugly if he doesn't man up and get us our wall.

After meeting with the president at the White House, Speaker Ryan and Co are heading back to Capitol Hill to tweak the spending bill.

Via AP:

President Donald Trump has told congressional Republicans he “will not sign” a spending bill passed by the Senate to avoid a partial government shutdown Friday, and he’s citing an impasse over money for a border wall with Mexico.

House Speaker Paul Ryan says after leaving a meeting with Trump at the White House that he and other leaders are going to go back to Capitol Hill to “work on adding border security” to the legislation.

Trump is facing a backlash from conservative supporters who’ve urging to him to stick with an earlier pledge to force a shutdown in hopes of securing money for his long-promised border wall.

The wall was the top promise of his presidential campaign.

Chocolate and booze are basically all we have left at this point.
