Ohio sales tax would no longer be charged for tampons and other feminine products purchased in the state, under legislation overwhelmingly passed by the Ohio House of Representatives on Wednesday. https://t.co/ETEFvVNPut
I really don't understand why GOP lawmakers in Ohio are pandering to the feminists whining about their right to feminine hygiene products.
I'm all for lower taxes, but this "pink tax" exemption is mostly a symbolic/PR move. According to the fiscal impact statement, women spend $32/year on feminine hygeinece produces, so this bill will save them $1.84 per year. Better to cut the overall tax rate so everyone benefits. https://t.co/IfQrr3usNx
