Live Blog

Here is your live blog for the day.

I wish I could say this was a photoshop, but it's quite real:

Merry Christmas from Francis's church.

A real profile in courage, this Democrat:

Oh. OK.

Oregon's Republican secretary of state is investigating why a left-wing group turned in nearly 100 ballots the day after the Nov. 6 election deadline.

Becca Uherbelau, executive director of Our Oregon, and Steve Ungar, the group's counsel, have until Wednesday to explain what happened.

Defend Oregon, a political action committee affiliated with Our Oregon, apparently gathered the ballots in an aggressive and legal get-out-the-vote effort. Canvassers went door to door asking residents if they needed or wanted assistance delivering their ballots.

Scott said in his letter to the state that Defend Oregon handed in other boxes of ballots in time to be counted. The one box had apparently been overlooked until Wednesday.

Our Oregon, a union-financed non-profit, also sent canvassers throughout the state to tell Oregonians how to vote on a number of statewide issues: "'Yes' to re-elect Democratic Gov. Kate Brown, 'yes' on an affordable housing bond initiative, and 'no' on four conservative ballot initiatives."

This will make you gasp in the worst way.
