It's not even the beginning of the beginning
From Tom Coburn's GAO report on government waste and duplication, there are "47 programs offered, 44 of which overlap with at least one other program" just for job training.
Why do we have even one?
But let's imagine that somehow Congress manages to eliminate all 47, despite hoots and hollers from Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) about all the poor, untrained-Americans who will suffer from GOP/Corporatist blood-thirst. Money saved: $18 billion -- or about one-half of one-percent of the Federal budget.
We've got a loooooong ways to go, folks.
