I was more astounded to see the name “Code Pink” in the story. From its silence, I thought the anti-war left had done its typical disappearance during Dem administrations. When it’s their guy drone-striking people, all is well.
The Code Pink presence surprised me too. Guess they just can’t resist a protest.
Code Pink will protest anyone he right of Mao Tse Tung. To them, Obama isjust another American Imperialist, fascist, bankster-backed tool of the corporate elite.

The counter-culture turned out for Obama to reproach him for his policies, but they had unrealistic expectations. It is sad that so many Americans have yielded to Jazz Age style primitivism and nihilism. I blame the cultural outlets that appeal to the counter-culture, and that reflect their own adolescent rebellions.

This is what I told my boss when she asked me why I wasn’t out watching his inauguration on TV like everyone else (I kept working instead). I told her that I had listened to his capmpaign messages and they were just sort of empty fill-in-the-blanks type slogans and I was afraid that too many people had filled in those blanks with whatever they wanted and were going to be very disappointed as a result.
Apparently your woman’s intuition noticed a scam artist right off when you hear one. You should be promoted for being smarter than the average employee.

Kailua, Oahu, where the home is located, is the crystal meth (aka “ice”) capital of the world. He should feel right at home. Problem is, it’s in a largely caucasian community. There are also lots of homeless druggies camping out at Kailua Beach Park, just 1/4 mile away.

It’ll be interesting to consider the tax ramifications of that $35 million home. If it’s a gift, Obama will owe millions in income tax. If he just lives there rent free, there may be tax consequences for that. Who pays the property tax?
In a truly just world, he’ll be evicted for non-payment of rent or taxes or the mortgage.
These Friscans truly are a clueless lot. And a word to the wise conservatives. Though they appear united in their dislike for Obama, their dislike is for very different reasons. Conservatives don’t like him because he’s a socialist and lefties don’t like him because he’s not socialist enough; The two factions being permanently and diametrically opposed.
So their protest indicated to me that the conservatives will come out and vote for Romney and the liberals will just stay home. That’s a plus for the republican party but it will still be necessary to keep Romney in check by not letting him sign legislation that will appease the left in any way. He will, and we know it but certainly as opposed to Obama, he’s a breath of fresh air.
But just remember, the left still wants a dictator who will take away our guns and bibles, who will demand that abortion be free, that drug-dealers and users get no legal penalties, etc. And oh, that you never use oil or coal again. They think that’s the answer to saving mother earth.

No, this is so much like Jimmy Carter that I imagine Obama will also be like Jimmah in retirement. Just how much farther left do they really think he can go? He has stepped up, not toned down drug enforcement – we have more militarized police making more raids on civilians. He has doubled down on drug prohibition – with the some success as the original prohibitionists in the 20′s.

That “Obama was just a bad hire” is great but is also part of the challenge businesses face everyday.
EEOC and affirmative action are a double edged sword for blacks. On one had they cause employers to hire under-qualified blacks to make racial quotas, but on the other had everybody knows that firing a poor performing minority will all too frequently lead to an EEOC lawsuit. I wonder who Obama sues when he is “let go.”

After one realizes the exorbitant number of lies Obama and his staff have been telling since Sept. 12, 2012 about the massacre in Libya; the killing of Ambassador Stephens and three Embassy personnel, there is one inescapable conclusion.
There is something seriously wrong with Obama. He’s no longer fit to be commander in chief. His touch with reality is tenuous at best. Obama’s got to go.
If he’s not forced out or resigns, I think Obama will live up to his name and get a clean electoral sweep. All goose eggs. All O’s. Obama may only be getting the electoral votes he dreams about. The truths are starting to come out about Obama’s Egypt and Libya untruths like a gushing torrent. When the election dust settles, the Democratic Party will be three generations away from being taken seriously again.
This President’s mental instability is getting Americans killed. Sorry to say, but as a history teacher, he reminds me of the last days of Hitler holed up in his bunker in the Chancellery in Berlin. Still giving orders to move his armies around from battle to battle, place to place.

The last photo, with the list of grievances, at least shows some intellectual consistency on the part of the sign-maker. It also shows that no matter what Obama did to make these people happy, they truly expected him to come into office on Jan. 20, 2009 and immediately turn into Hugo Chavez, steamrollering every pet far left dream they had into law.
As much as Obama’s gone on an executive order fetish over the last 18 months to bypass Congress, even he can’t do that, because it would kill off the hopes of even more down-ballot Democrats. But the hard-core left doesn’t care, and if Obama loses on Nov. 6, will simply go back into the Democratic Party to champion the next hyper-liberal hope (though after their experience with Barack, they may not be as open next time to a beta male Chicago cipher, even though someone like that with their ideology is really their only hope for winning office in most places outside San Francisco).
Obama will have more flexibility to act like Hugo Chavez in a 2nd term.
As a confirmed beta male, though, he won’t have the stones to do it and put his name on it — Jarett can do it, or Reid can do it, or some of his cabinet people or bureaucratic department heads can do it, but Obama has a aversion to any heavy lifting to get his ideology enacted. He only wants the credit once everything’s done.
The passiveness and his historical racial position are the only two reasons why Obama even won the 2008 Democratic primary over Hillary — if he was the alpha male type the far left pines for, even Democrats would have simply seen him as Thin Al Sharpton and run away screaming. At best, Obama’s the guy in a mob of believers who runs out and throws a Molitov cocktail at the police, then runs back in before he can be identified and arrested. He does nothing on his own.
The left knew during the 2008 campaign Obama was lying to the country about his beliefs. But what they also thought, and are angry about now, is that he was lying about his temperament, and would turn into Chavez on 1/20/09. We should actually be thankful for Obama’s wimpiness, because with full control of Congress in 2009-10, if Obama had been able to hide an alpha male personality that didn’t care if everyone saw him defiling the Constitution, things would be even worse than they are now.
They are also angry at the lightworker for his poor showing in the debate where they thought he would take it to Romney in the form of espousing their “known” truths. This is why Matthews lost his erection; This is why the pun-ditzes tried blaming the underlings and threw Kerry under the bus. Because wunderboy was supposed to excoriate Romney on all the left talking points regarding global warming, evil corporate empires, greedy gas companies and so on.
But somehow Captain socialist knew that if he started spouting such nonsense, Romney would come back with examples of Obama’s own pathetic record, which, by the way, is all by design for the high unemployment and high dole participation rate. (They had examined European voters and noted that those on the dole vote for more of the dole). But Romney would’ve explained politely and calmly why his policies fail, why they are wrong and why they must not continue.
The next day, Zippy came out swingin’. At the air. I’m reminded of a baseball comedy where the guy comes out all pumped up, ready to go to bat and he’s fanning the wood around and the coach says, “My god it’s a hurricane. Wonder if he can do that when there’s a baseball anywhere nearby.” And clearly president empty-chair cannot.
In most professional activities there’s that expression about being able to “talk the talk, but can they walk the walk?” In that regard he’s just the boy in the bubble.
If the Democrats want an actual alpha male leader, they’ll be waiting a long time. Their belief systems tend to train that out of our men and boys these days.
Romney/Ryan and their supporters are on the same page. They are openly defending free market Constitutional democracy. They tell the truth about who they are, where they have been and what they stand for and against.
ALL of their supporters are pulling on the same end of the rope, because they want to defend these same principles.
Obama/Biden and their supporters are not on the same page. The ticket is not open or transparent about their assault on free market Constitutional democracy. They must lie, distort and be clandestine about who they are, where they have been and what they stand for and against.
Many of their supporters are pulling on …what appears to be…an opposite end of the rope, because they don’t understand the Fabian nature of the ruse. They don’t want to slow cook the redistribution, the revolution, the tyranny. They want to flash fry America. They want their anarchy and they want it now.
Obama/Biden want to give it to them, but they just won’t admit it out in the open. The co-conspirators in the media lie in wait, propagandizing and covering up the plot. Therefore, the signals get crossed. SF is the perfect place to blow a circuit.

I moved my family from the Bay Area to Denver seven years ago. Thank God. It used to be called America’s European City – because of it’s art, food, weather, and “Barbary Coast” history. Durring a trip to Portland Oregon last week I had the opportunity to drive around the metro quite extensively and only saw one Obama yard sign, which was defaced witn NO over the O. Saw a supprisingly large number of Romney signs. Very interesting indeed.
Visiting San Francisco is wonderful, and I, a poor man from the provinces, can’t afford to live there even if I wanted to, but I must know only the 1% because everyone I know from the Bay Area is voting for Romney. Even the famous fog cannot obscure the fact that Obama has failed, not just for people from the right but also for people from the left. That’s not to say that Romney will come close to carrying the ultra-liberal Bay Area, but even there people are questioning Obama’s bona fides.

I find it interesting that there is so much fraternization going on. They are all united in their protest of Obama, so the issues which would normally divide them seem to not matter (probably because most of these issues do not really matter to most people, anyway). Without the pure partisanship, the things which divide us do not seem to really divide much at all. They are just minor differences of opinion.
Well, there wasn’t widespread fraternization, just some around the edges. The main World Can’t Wait speakers still bashed the Tea Party, even as a few Tea Party members were also protesting some of the very same things that WCW were protesting — like increased domestic surveillance, extra-judicial killings, etc.
The libertarian edge of the Tea Party is not so far off from the libertarian edge of the marijuana people, so that’s not so far of a stretch. The leftie/hippie edge of the marijuana people is not so far from the hippie edge of Occupy San Francisco — and so on. Just like a rainbow, with colors blending into adjacent colors on either side.

You who are “Entitled to know how you can get an $87 million IRA in less than 14,500 years” need to learn how money and compound interest works. Were our lifespan such that one could work for 14,500 years, an $87 million IRA could be purchased for nary a cent in the first year and no further contributions thereafter. Contributing $22,000 a year (the max combined annual 401(k) and IRA contribution) and earning about 20% returns (not going to happen consistently in the general market, but doable investing in startups), you’d have $87 million in 40 years.

Of course, not understanding money is why they are the 47% who don’t pay taxes. They’re always in debt, rather than building wealth. They don’t understand that if you have a credit card charging 18% interest and your minimum payment is 2% of the balance, and if you make only the minimum payment and don’t charge anything new, then 75% of your payment is interest and only 25% of your payment goes toward reducing the balance. If you are still charging things on it, then whatever you charged comes out of that 25% of your payment, and the balance could even increase despite making payments.
I haven’t paid too much attention to any campaign slogans or protest signs, but have there been any along the lines of:
“Give Obama a rest. Time for a little R&R.”
Because if not, I plan profiting from it.
