Even worse luck for those hurt by Gustav. One argument (about postponment) would be that Gustav will dominate the news. People won't be discussing the GOP convention. And/or Gustave might cause so much havoc that air traffic and normal life would be disrupted from the gulf up the Mississippi Valley. The GOP won't enjoy seeming to celebrate while so many others are suffering. But Gustav might veer and they would look foolish. And be heckled for running from a storm. Reconvening would risk shambles. And another storm might arrive anyway. I wouldn't postpone. Bad luck for the GOP. Even worse luck for those hurt by Gustav.

One argument (about postponment) would be that Gustav will dominate the news. People won’t be discussing the GOP convention.
