Fun Personal Stuff

A trip to the dentist (ouch), an unsuccessful run downtown to pick up the sunglasses Melissa ordered, and the grocery store. Twice.
Busy day.
Worth it, though. As the pace picks up before the wedding, tonight, we figure, is about our last chance for a date. So we’re goning to cook some food, drink some wine, and exchange our bride & groom gifts.
Tonight’s menu:
Bib lettuce with Dijon vinaigrette and fresh cracked pepper.
Rack of Lamb Provencal.
Baby white potatoes & baby carrots with butter and fresh parsely.
What looks to be a very nice bottle (or two) of C

Stephen, congratulations. I wish you and Melissa all the best.
Try not to think about the fact that you’ve made the final independent decision of your life.
I’m sure you know this and are as happy as a Russian nursing a bottle, of well… ya know.
Now now, we mustn’t be like this. Stephen is quite happy. Very happy indeed. And he should be. He should have absolutely no problem whatsoever consigning his future independence to the Ninth Circle of Hell, and allowing himself to be ruled over like your typical Frenchman. In fact, let’s all sing along in this spiritual testifying to Stephen’s happiness–current and projected:
When Stephen was in Egypt’s land,
Let our Stephen gooooo!!!
Just kidding, of course. Congrats Stephen. Mazel Tov and from the looks of those pics you made available, you couldn’t have made a better choice.
pej is a poop
And this has been a family website since when?
Pejman, it may be entirely appropriate that the first words I ever speak to you are a dire threat to spank your bottom if you continue to scare my boy that way…
Stephen…well????
Seki: Unless a spanking from you would be highly desirable (and something tells me it would be), I certainly don’t mean to diss Stephen. Actually, I’m quite envious. And after seeing pics of his girlfriend, who wouldn’t be?
As for M–our mysterious little troll–glad to see that the brain cells are functioning overtime. “Pej is a poop.” How witty. Do you, by chance, write for Warbloggerwatch?
I wish you both the very best – may your marriage be long and happy, with plenty of safe diving and lots of other good things.
Congrats!
Heh heh. I remember when H- and I had that last, before-the-wedding “dessert”…. We had “cake,” if you know what I mean. Which we “ate” with a “fork.” Two forks, in fact. Washed it down with a little glass of “milk.” Damn! — that “icing” — a fetching li’l vanilla — was to die for!
(H- giggled when I “licked her plate” clean. Then, when I turned around and licked my own plate clean…well, she was simply in awe.).
If you get my meaning. Which I doubt you do, because I haven’t the slightest idea what that was all about.
You’ll forgive me, please. I have dishes to wash.
Damn!
I guess it must have been a good night. Stephen hasn’t posted a thing.
Should we send somebody ’round to check on ‘em?
so, what’d ya get?
