It's not all about you, Benwah. One day you will learn that. It's a tough lesson. One especially hard for conservatives.

He/she is bitter, she/he is envious. Not Now Not Ever is disappointed that I included Moho on the jury and missed an opportunity to mention you-know-who. The reason he/she did not make the team is her/his handicap, id est, lameness. Don't believe me? Read 151.

94. Fred Beloit: that's pretty funny actually, i know I cant spell or type, i am dyslexic and even with my software programs I have a difficult time of it, but I don't see that I have sullied the name of President Bush, certainly not my intention.

139. SukieTawdry: you disagree with me that is fine.

My question is, if as appears clear, that there is a Jihadist factor in this massacre, what exactly should we do about it? obliviously we try to weed out the Jihadist from the military, and wish both parties would take the 9-11 commission recommendations seriously. while not applicable, perhaps, to this massacre, turf battles and not sharing info is a real killer. we have to find ways to make our big machine work in selective arenas like little fast responsive machines.

As far as trying to prevent broad backlash against Islam, this is sensible policy, but it is different than the knee-jerk leftist reaction of always looking away from the source of responsibility for someone else to blame. No we don't want to be apologists for the guilty, an inadequate human being who is a cold blooded murderer, but we also don't want to behave like a nation of racist morons, we don't want to become the enemy.

our strength is our freedom and openness and the belief that we all have the same rights.
That Jihadist had more rights to practice his religion in this country the way he wanted too than in any country in the middle east or Asia, or the world. This is our strength, to differentiate between what is good and what is bad. we have loyal patriotic Muslims who love this country and we would do a great disservice to ourselves and them to just blame "Islam" for Islamic Jihadists, not the same hing and we know it, and it is detrimental to our battle with the Islamic Jihadists to pretend otherwise.

PS thanks to all the Veterans for your service.

David Brooks is off the reservation. His article today re Ft Hood is a cogent rebuttal to all the wishy-washy nonsense we're hearing from Washington, the Military and the MSM.

Lesson for the brain dead PC infected deniers of the obvious: Reality bites.

Fred Beloit: Nobody on the left or the right is going to defend this guy. He murdered 13 innocent people for no reason and was caught red-handed (perhaps literally). He will get a court martial because he's in the military, with a JAG or whatever, and he will lose, because he is guilty, and that's it.

How would Ronald Reagan have responded to such an attack? Would he have sanctioned a media coverup of the motives of the perpetrator?

Can any muslim apologist look the survivors and the families of the victims in the eye and say that there is no Jihadist factor in this massacre? Perhaps Obama can invite the families of the victims to the Whitehouse to a beer summit for discussion of a teachable moment.

Perhaps also, a well publicised commission could investigate whether anything in the koran legitimises such behaviour and declare, whether it is sanctioned by the canon of islam or is a perversion of islam used by sociopaths to provide a rationalisation for their behaviour. Such a commission could also be expected to justify its conclusions and inform debate about potential ameliorative actions.

Tsun Tzu probably has advice for people who wish to prevail and warnings to those who ignore reality about the consequences of such denial.

"Wake, oh awaken, Hasan, awake. Its time for your court marshal, you stripper-loving, beer-sipping, victim of the West, you.
Nov 9, 2009 - 12:35 pm"

My hope and change have been answered. He is ALIVE and awake.
Now will come the instinctive knee-jerkers and jerks of the left with cries for civil rights, justice for all, no military tribunals for this war crime, Hasan is the victim of American imperialism through the ages, the crinkle of Saudi money pouring in to the defensive dream team of lawyers and finally the speech by Holder appointing a new prosecutor unanswerable to anyone in government.
This prosecutor will have the unusual responsibility to select a jury to include Soros, Buffett, Garafolo, Mahar, Baldwin, Seeger(Pete), Jarrett, Emanuel(Z) and Moho.
Wait for it...

No, you are the one who is common, NAT, at least among so-called voters. You had the money, you had the recession, you had the wars, you had the orator, you had the callow youth, you had Gitmo, you had "evil" Cheney, you had "torture", you had rendition, you had ACORN intimidaters, you had SWIU thugs.

Now you have all of these plus a new Cheney. They are strung around your neck now and they are so heavy you and your associates in socialism will not be able to bear them.
