In my community many residents are now undecided about Sarah Palin because she is supporting John McCain. Since they do not share the same values and McCain is a moderate, we think she has harmed her chances for a political career.

While I do not disagree that the liberals sometimes dislike Palin for all the wrong reasons, we cannot discount her inability to answer the most basic of questions competently. Yes, her spunk is admirable, but it hardly qualifies her to lead. Assuming she is disliked by some women simply because she is not childless demeans the intelligence of your female readership. Perhaps they simply dislike her incompetence and penchant for blaming everyone but herself and resent these faults being overlooked simply because she is an attractive female, where they never would be overlooked were she male.

Thank you for addressing this topic and I agree with your analysis. I would like to chip in also on this matter. For me, I believe the vitriol primarily and ultimately is rooted in the fact that Sarah Palin is a professing Christian. This is hatred pure and simple. She holds and lives out the Christian worldview. That is enough to draw the wrath of secular-humanists (a religion in its’ own right) every time. They (secular-humanists) don’t believe in God, they don’t believe that is, until they look in a mirror.

I found the quote about things that are real but undefined a thought provoker. I think one of those is, when the constitution says we all have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, doesn’t that include me , at 83, even if I am a bit senile? Or a baby in the womb? Why do we sidestep that one?
I liked the incongruous reference. Jackson, Lincoln, TA, Truman, Reagan, are incongruous because they had Guts and Wisdom. The rest left any they had outside the White House door. Now the question is, does Palin have those two qualities, essential to dealing with Putin. So far, she seems to maybe have them. I’m watching, listening, and hoping.

The Democrap Party is a demographic party. They seperate everyone into tribal-like “victim” groups and promise to always protect them against the boogeymen – whites, conservatives, men, Christians, heterosexuals, etc. And when conservatives “steal” people from these victim groups – in this case women – the left goes absolutely insane and does everything they can to trash their good name. Afterall, without identity based politics the Democrap Party would cease to exist and they know it.
