So we keep being told. But tired of what? Tired of watching a war on tv, which is the full extent of what 98% of Americans ever had to do with the Iraq war? Tired of watching commentators wring their hands?

A sane and sound national policy would prohibit Islamic immigration, citizenship residence and operation in the United States. That is correct: I have gone and said it. The rationale would be an aggressive insistence upon complete cultural reciprocity. If Islamic states–or those where Islam is dominant–harass and persecute Christians, Buddhists, Jews and others, then proselytizing in the USA and its allies is likewise banned. If Islamic states and Muslim majorities begin to permit free immigration and, say, evangelization by Christians, then perhaps we can talk. I doubt that this will transpire. War is most likely inevitable.

Burke, let’s not forget that in 1970, there were more than a million and a half Asians in America. Whatever real or imagined atrocities have been committed in Iraq and Afghanistan (such as giving them a shot at Democracy), it’s safe to say they pale in comparison to the napalming of villages, deforestation and carpet bombing we and our South Vietnamese allies inflicted on the North.

Yet for all that, can anyone recount the acts of terrorism committed by Asians on American soil at that time? Indeed there were such acts, but they were mostly committed by Caucasian Marxists like President Obama’s buddy William Ayers.

It reminds me of the simple-minded assertion that America is to blame for all the deaths in Iraq. That we invaded and deposed the leadership in Iraq does not automatically mean people from all around will, as automatons, begin slaughtering their neighbors. If that was an obvious response, there would be Chinese buses full of little girls being dynamited by Tibetan nationalists.

And yet, we do not see such things. That compels one to look for other evidence, other reasons why in this instance we have something entirely different. That thing is Islamic fascism, which, like Hasan, feels it has a right to live and prosper in the west – indeed, like CAIR – that it has a duty to change the west into its image, but is virulently opposed to any western changes (other than the benefits of technology) in its own area of the world.

The correct word is magazines, not clips.

Clips are strips of metal that hold bullets, like in the M1 Garand of WWII.

Magazines are the spring-loaded bullet-containers that are inserted into modern weapons, both handgun and rifle.

I have a friend with an elderly aunt who reminds me of moho. The aunt is a retired secretary who is tremendously proud of the fact that she’s in MENSA. She gets together with her MENSA friends and they – talk about how smart they are. None of them have written books, saved lives, worked on the cure for cancer or you know, actually accomplished anything besides passing the test that got them into MENSA, but they’ll have you know that they are very, very smart. And my friend tells me they all love Obama because he’s very, very smart too.

The most brilliant man I’ve ever known in my life was the director of an oncology unit at a Children’s Hospital. He never once mentioned how high his IQ was.

He didn’t have to.

marymcl: Glad I’m not the only one who has noticed. “Poor Citizen” is definitely not a conservative, but at times sounds like a decent sort of person who genuinely wishes to engage in a real debate. At other times, he sounds as rude and classless as other PJM trolls.
