Tommy Vietor, spokesman for the National Security Council, said the White House has “reached out to YouTube to call the video to their attention and ask them to review whether it violates their terms of use.”
However, the video remained on the site as of Friday afternoon, and it is posted many other places on the Internet.
Messages to YouTube, and Google, which owns the site, were not immediately returned Friday. On Wednesday, a YouTube spokesperson said the video “is clearly within our guidelines and so will stay on YouTube.”

Obama could care a less about those dead americans and their families.
They only want it down because it shows the complete and total failure of this administration and its reckless anti-american policy. It makes “dear leader” look bad! That is the only reason!
This video needs to stay up to remind the American people this man was WARNED and did nothing to protect innocent Americans serving our country in the most hostile environment possible and gave them NOTHING! Not even bullets!
Mean while, a small army loaded with plenty of “Hollow points” follow obama. His small clan of communist traitors. Look at the security detail that surrounds Ms. Jarret! She is so important you know!
Good for YouTube. Not because of the movie itself (it was kind of stupid), but because American citizens have the right to make stupid movies and post them on YouTube, and telling people they can’t because they’re hurting somebody’s feelings, or trying to prosecute them because it goes against the tenets of one particular religion, is fascism writ large.
Unfortunately it looks like YouTube has blocked the video in the rioting regions. I can understand why they’d be unwilling to support American values abroad, but I’m sorry they didn’t stand up for free speech around the world.
“The cunning of the fox is as dangerous as the violence of the wolf, and we ought to gaurd equally against both.” Thomas Paine in The Sunshine Patriot. An article I read earlier today quoted the more familiar quote, “These are the times that try men’s souls”, so I looked it up and read all of it. To youtube I say, atta boy. Free speech is just that. The attacks against free speech are the same whether it comes from a fox or a wolf.
