According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney remain in a deadlocked contest, tied at 47 percent among registered voters and basically where they stood in late May.
The new numbers reflect a stubborn constancy: Only twice in 13 surveys over more than a year has either candidate held a lead exceeding the poll’s margin of sampling error. Now, the campaign appears destined to remain extremely close in the final four months before Election Day.
The fundamentals seem firmly planted: About two-thirds of Americans consider the country seriously off course, a majority have not approved of Obama’s overall job performance in more than a year, and the president remains in negative territory on dealing with the economy, health care and immigration. Also unmoved since fall are Americans’ attitudes toward spending, with as many saying they would prefer an increase in federal spending to try to spur economic growth as wanting to prioritize deficit reduction.

I am not going to pay much attention to polls, as I am sure the DemonRats will do all they can to discourage conservatives, independents, Republicans or anyone with common sense and love for their country. Any poll can be skewed for any result, depending upon who one surveys, and how they ask the questions-
Is this the D+9 poll? I’ve noticed that the folks who do the economic data manipulation to keep the folks from knowing just how deep the unemployment problem is, are using similar methodology to the pollsters. Pick an outcome and then work the numbers until you get it. I call this the Roberts method, for obvious reasons.
I cannot imagine how insanely partisan you would have to be to vote for this man again – Even according to DEMOCRATS he’s in the bottom-5 of all-time-worst Presidents ever.
The only rationale I can see for them voting for this on-going disaster would be because he’s from ‘my’ party, good or awful…
That’s insane. Or is it just that they hate this country so much that this is a feature, not a bug?

This report is basically only parrotting what the Washington Post has to say about its poll. It cannot be said that “the new numbers reflect a stubborn constancy.”
If you go to the Washington Post web page and click on its graph, you can read it clearly. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/presidential-election-campaigning-sways-few/2012/07/09/gJQAJhANZW_graphic.html
In April 2012, when Romney was the presumptive nominee, it was 51 – 44 in favor of Obama.
At the end of May, when Romeny cleared the 1144 electoral vote hurdle, it was 49 – 46 in favor of Obama.
Now in July, it is 47 – 47 a tie.
This is not a deadlock. This is a strong trend that started once it was clear that Romney was to be the Republican candidate. We are now at the crossover point.
By the way, when I searched Google for graphs or trends from other pollsters, I came up negative.
Furthermore, if you follow Mike Flynn at Townhall.com, you will learn that raw poll results are passed through a partisan screen which can shift the final ‘results’ significantly. The Washigton Post’s partisan screen is biased strongly against Republican representation. Check out:
May 24: NBC Massages Poll Results to Show Obama Leading in Key Swing States
Jul 10: WaPo/ABC Skew Poll, Obama Still Struggling
Thus if a fair partisan screen had been used, Romney would be significantly ahead.
Don’t bask in the sun, but keep this in mind when the MSM tries to get us dispirited.
