A sheriff says a federal agent shot while conducting surveillance near a rural South Texas town is out of surgery and in stable condition.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino, whose agency is assisting in the investigation, says unidentified men shot the agent around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday near Hargill and that colleagues rushed the victim to a hospital.
Trevino says investigators do not have any suspects or a vehicle description, but that they are following some promising leads.

Wonder if they will find another Fast and Furious gun and if the do will it get reported?
I wonder if the assailants look like people Obama and Holder want casting votes without showing ID.
