On Good Morning America, ABC News’ Brian Ross and George Stephanolpoulos suggested that the Tea Party might be connected to the mass shootings early this morning in an Aurora, CO theater during a screening of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. The mainstream media attempted to blame the Tea Party for the Tuscon shootings in January 2011, shortly after Republicans swept the midterm elections. Now, in the critical 2012 elections, the mainstream media seems poised to do the same–and ABC News has led the way.
Here is the exchange between reporter Brian Ross and host George Stephanopoulos about apparent suspect James Holmes:
Stephanolpoulos: I’m going to go to Brian Ross. You’ve been investigating the background of Jim Holmes here. You found something that might be significant.
Ross: There’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year. Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it’s Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.
Stephanolpoulos: Okay, we’ll keep looking at that. Brian Ross, thanks very much.
How interesting that Ross and ABC News should think to look to the Tea Party website first–and to broadcast politically volatile information without verifying if that “Jim Holmes” is the same as the suspect.

The MSM unexpectedly jumps to bigoted conclusions which demonize their opposition? (CoughChoke Zimmerman Hack)
I didn’t expect that…
Katie Holmes starred in the first Batman movie. Katie Holmes just got divorced from Tom Cruise. Maybe Jim Holmes is an angry relative.
What a PAIR of Nuts – NBC, ABC, CBS going under like NYT’s but not fast enough
I’m beginning to think this is part of the Liberal Stream Media handbook on getting the current Resident re-elected. How many times, in just the past few months, have one of the talking-heads disingenuously tried to tie some criminal activity to the GOP or Tea Party, only to mumble some lame apology within hours of their fraudulent and disparaging remarks? It seems the recanting of the lie always gets lost in the din of the Progressive’s peaceful cry for blood! I don’t believe Holmes misspoke. Instead, following in the footsteps of his Rat King, Obama, he read it just as it was written on the teleprompter!
Sorry, I meant “Ross misspoke,” not “Holmes!”
Unfortunately, it seems everyone’s getting in on the act this time. Louis Gohmert (R-Tex, I think) suggested that this was somehow related to a weakening of Judeo-Christian values (nice of him to mention the Jews) while someone else mentioned that the movie supposedly makes the Occupy movement look bad, and suggested Holmes might be an Occupy type.
I suggest we wait until we have some information before making all these accusations. Bloomberg et al are already trying to take advantage of this to argue for stricter gun control…my guess is this guy is going to turn out to be a loner who had no political views, and was overwrought because he was failing in his PhD program…
the next killer, who lies afterwards, saying he’s politically this or that
I hope the entire MSM jumps on this. The more the MSM harps on gun control, the more votes Romney will get.
