Leon Panetta, not Obama, issued order to kill bin Laden?

Without knowing if this is true or not, there are definitely symptoms beginning to unfold of something very wrong in this White House. Their story keeps on changing, and this is going to prove catastrophic long term to the American narrative if it isn’t set right immediately. Done right, this narrative should have been immune to the inevitable attacks from Muslims and our other enemies. Already America runs the risk of looking very bad because there was so much contestable propaganda attached to the real story in order to polish Obama’s G-D reputation. This began with his speech itself where he took great pains to congratulate himself and center much of the content on his grandiosity, as well as pandering to the Muslims. Here are excerpts from the meat of the speech:

And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta…
I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden…
I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information…
I determined that we had enough intelligence…
Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation …

There was no mention of Bush, and one reference to the actual warriors who did the operation. Contrast that with the five references to centrality of his blessed self in this main exposition of his speech.

This unseemly preening was followed by days of wild embellishments which continued to paint Obama as the epicenter of the affair ( John Brennan’s “gutsiest decision by a President in my memory…”) or attempted to paint a contradictory picture of bin Laden where he was simultaneously hiding behind a woman, and putting up fierce armed resistance.

None of it was necessary, and it only served to embellish the heroics of Obama himself, accompanied with the now famous Pensive President photo.

Now that the story has begun to unravel, and the dithering continues regarding the release of the photos, and the bizarre lashings of Pakustan, followed by assertions that Pakistan is an ally – all of it hreatens to turn this from a big win to a big lose for America.

This freak must be impeached. He can’t even run the killing of UBL to America’s advantage. Yes, I’m saying that two days after he supposedly single-handedly hit bin Laden. One bright spot… The Leftist pro-terror, anti-American anti-enhanced interrogation platform is utterly crumbling before our eyes. That at least is a good thing.
