The Walking Dead Get Their Sea Legs

Think of it as cosplay on the high seas:

For a zombie apocalypse experience at sea, look no further than this one-of-a-kind cruise. Setting sail in January 2016, Walking Dead fans will have the chance to take part in what sounds like a premise of a horror film itself: a zombie-themed voyage aboard the Norwegian Pearl. The three-day escape will leave from Miami on January 15 and dock in Nassau, Bahamas on January 18.

The entire thing is the brainchild of, and will be hosted by, The Walker Stalkers, who organise sci-fi and horror fan conventions around the world each year. Fans will have the chance to vacation with some stars of the show, like Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, and Emily Kinney.

Makeup artists will also be on hand to help holidaymakers transform into a member of the undead and costume contests, question and answer panels and theme nights have also been scheduled. The ship’s standard luxury amenities will also be available to all travellers, including several pools, hot tubs, a rock-climbing wall and even a bowling alley.

Could be a little freaky, but what the heck. As one of the comments notes, the trick will be telling the TWD from the rest of the passengers: “A cold vacant stare,walking very slowly and drooling from the mouth-sounds like a normal cruise ful of pensioners!”
