Miss Louisiana USA, Brittany Guidry, faced a tougher question on the Bergdahl swap than Barack Obama has so far, during last night’s pageant. And while her answer isn’t perfect, she at least comes off showing that her first principle is to defend America from terrorists. What exactly was Barack Obama’s first and guiding principle in trading five dangerous terrorists for an alleged deserter, and then telling the country a series of transparent lies about it? Why does he care more about ending wars than, you know, winning them?

I know that there are some intelligent models out there but my impression has always been that this is the exception rather than the rule; many of them appear to be vacuous and vain. Perhaps Ms. Guidry is an exception but I can't help but think that if a model can answer this question better than the President, there is something PROFOUNDLY wrong with the President.

Miss Louisiana answered the way most Americans feel; OK, we're glad this guy is back with us, but what sort of price did we pay by releasing 5 terrorists?

This is the best question. He wants to "stand down" (but our enemies will not), this in the past was known as surrender. Our president is not on our side.

And something profoundly wrong with a polity who would - TWICE - elect such a president.

A commentator made note that while America could survive a fool for a president, they can not survive fools who elect and re-elect them.
