Ever since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has gone backward in time. What was a modernizing country in which many women avoided the burka, as in this photo from Tehran in the 1970s before the revolution…

…has become a mullahcracy ruled by a few bearded men armed with sixth-century ideas.

This man, Ayatollah Khamenei, rules Iran behind its “elected” presidents and officials.

Today, he is angry at Iranian actress Leila Hatami.

Why? Because of the photo on the next page.

"Iran’s sharia law is the same law that, in Sudan, is condemning a pregnant woman to death because she is a Christian."

Should also add, ...and is from the 600's. That's about 1400 years ago for those in Rio Linda.

How did the Mullahs like the Michael Sam kiss? Would love to hear their comments on that.

When can we start denouncing the Cult of Islam for what it is?

If Islam really is the Religion of Peace® then it's the mullahs who are an affront to Islam

The mullahs are an affront...to everything beyond single cell organisms.

I don't think you could make an ayatollah any happier than if you poked him in the eyes everyday.

Clearly Ms. Hatami is giving a bad image to Iranian women. before you know it, she will want to drive her own car in Saudi Arabia!

She has an intelligent beauty to her. Very attractive.

I agree however, she should seriously consider not returning unless... unless of course like so many other Iranians, she has family in Iran who could face retribution for any "insolent behavior" on her part.

They don't seem to have the same rules about men kissing each other, not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. Best thing any Iranian could say about their country is Iran away.

Do those mullahs understand that faces have cheeks, too? Which cheeks did they imagine being kissed?

She should not even be touched by a male who is not her husband. I was wondering where her three male family members, who are supposed to accompany Muslim women who are out in public like that, were in that photo. It appears her male chaperones weren't doing their jobs. Will they also be subject to punishment when they get back to Iran?

I realize the Mullahs are a bunch of insular throwbacks; But aren't they aware that the French greet everyone - man or woman - that way?
