President Obama used the word “scuffles” to describe the invasion of Ukraine while maintaining that his No. 1 security concern is a rogue nuclear weapon detonating inside the U.S. instead of Russia.

Obama was eager to stay on the nuke topic at a press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte after the conclusion of the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague. Foreign and American media alike, though, wanted to talk Russia after the G-7 met on the sidelines of the conference to take their caucus down by one member.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov showed up for the class photo at the end of the summit, but stood rows away from Obama.

Obama said he was “less interested” in President Vladimir Putin’s motivations for taking control in Eastern Europe than “the facts and the principles that not only the United States, but the entire international community are looking to uphold.”

“I don’t think that any of us have been under any illusion that Russia has been very interested in controlling what happens to Ukraine. That’s not new. That’s been the case for years now. That’s been the case dating back to the Orange Revolution,” he added.

“It is now up to Russia to act responsibly and show itself to be, once again, willing to abide by international rules and international norms. And if it chooses to do so, I think that there could be a better outcome. If it fails to do so, there will be additional costs. And those will have some disruptive effect to the global economy, but they’ll have the greatest impact on Russia.”

The G-7 agreed on sectoral sanctions that could be kicked into effect if Putin starts to grab more territory than Crimea.

A foreign reporter asked Obama what “guarantees” he could give to other countries in Eastern Europe that they wouldn’t be next on the land-grab list.

Obama said the seizure of Crimea isn’t a “done deal” as “history has a funny way of moving in twists and turns, and not just in a straight line.”

“So, you know, how the situation in Crimea evolves in part depends on making sure that the international community stays unified in indicating that this was an illegal action on the part of Russia,” he said. “With respect to the Russian troops that are along the border of Ukraine at the moment, right now they are on Russian soil. And if they stay on Russian soil, we oppose what appears to be an effort at intimidation. But Russia has the right, legally, to have its troops on its own soil.”

Obama brushed off Russia’s assertion that Russian speakers within Ukraine have faced any sort of threats that justify action by Moscow. “If anything, what we’ve seen are provocateurs who have created, you know, scuffles inside of Ukraine,” he said.

To have a president and sec of state be this naïve, ignorant, and willfully arrogant about what they don't know is disturbing. They are both stuck on stupid and all the while what is left of American credibility is going down the tubes. This is what you get when you have a community organizer and rich playboy running America's foreign policy as if we really had one. We are not playing patty cake with the white house press corps. The world is deadly serious and look at these pathetic clowns walking around with their platitudes about how the world will not be nice to Putin anymore if he takes 5 or 6 more countries. You don't build a foreign policy on sound bites and speeches. You don't look after American interests by driving from the back seat and surrending before you even fight. With a world full of looming threats you don't disarm your military. Any 5th grader could do a better job than these fools. It is pathetic too that the media is an active enabler in this disgrace and payback time is coming to them soon as we continue to unmask our Manchurian candidate. God save this country because these fools will not. Israel prepare to defend yourself too.

Maybe Mom Jeans doesn't understand the concept.

Russia, Iran, China are expansionist and muscular.

Rogue guerrilla groups are clear and present dangers but are not nations.

Our intentional political anorexia in which leftists stop feeding our defense systems, tear down our economy and brutalize our domestic freedoms makes the world a more dangerous place.

The infantile fantasy that the world will see us as more "likeable" if we pursue the mindless dorm room babble of the Happy Hippie Headmistresses who treat the world as if it responds to their psychedelic flashbacks is not merely inane. It is perilous because they not only live in this derangement, they make us live in it as well.

And when the world does not align with their hallucinatory pipe dreams, they simply lie and say that it does.

"Hide the decline" is not a reaction to a model that refuses to cooperate with the narrative. It is the game plan itself for taking America and the West into a role of submission.

We then can apologize properly for our racist, greedy, homophobic, misogynist, colonial, imperialistic, warmongering past.
From our knees.

Just where Obama/Jarrett/Ayers/Khalidi want us.

“You know, America’s got a whole lot of challenges,”

And the biggest, and in many ways, most damaging, currently occupies the Oval office.

If the intent of this moonbat president is not clear now it is proof of the dumbing down of the American citizen and the wifful treachery of the media in abetting the downfall of our country. In the open and with all eyes to see we have a president and a foreign policy that embraces the muslim brotherhood both at home with high level administrative appointments in plain sight and abroad with active financial aid and comfort (known and proven terrorists).
We are actively supporting the Iranian nuke program and anti Israel in all respects asking them to give up territory to make their homeland indefensible while not insisting that the Palistinians agree to Israel's right to exist.
The president actively undermines our economy by actively bankrupting our entitlement programs, increasing both the administrative debt at $17 trillion and adding $7 trillion a year to unfunded obligations of $100 trillion. No reforms no cuts no intent to do either on the agenda either.
He does nothing to stimulate the private sector and job creation while unleashing the full power of the EPA, IRS, ATF HHS and Homeland Securrity to torment and abuse taxpayers at every term.
He sells us out at every turn while taking selfies and playing golf partying more traveling the world at a pace of extravagance that is unmatched by any other president.
He is actively destroying the chain of command in the Armed Serives over 200 seasoned officers have been "retired" and turned it over to a Joint Chiefs who believe that "climate change" is our greatest threat and who have the gall to call he Ft Hood Terrorist attack an incident of "workplace violence."
This party has hit new lows with the unwanted and widey hated ObamaCare law that will ruin our health care system and reduce our great nations tradition of state of the art healthcare to "third world" status.
Now we are supposed to give a crap about his legacy while Americans are truly suffering from high systemic long term job losses and a president who is so blinded by his Marxists ideology that he is beyond help.

The media meanwhile is telling us that he is the greatest president since Lincoln. Give us a break. He should be impeached. Holder should be arrested along with most of his cronies in the justice department.

nyyrc.com/blog/2014/03/geopolitik-russias-foreign-policy-plans-explained/
The Russian designs for Europe and the world have their roots in Haushofer’s geopolitics, which were a major strategic component of the Third Reich’s war strategy. Aleksandr Dugin’s influence on this movement cannot be overstated. The techniques employed by the Russian military and propaganda outlets nearly mirror those used by Hitler and OKW in the early war years. Moreover, the conception of Russians as one people under the Russian Orthodox Church provides a simple unifying theme for future mobilization, much as the idea of the master race coalesced German patriotic fervor throughout the 1930s and 1940s. Hitler did not stop at Czechoslovakia; instead he advanced onto Poland. Americans and western Christians should remain very wary of the intentions of a new imperial Russia.

A scuffle is 2 old guys fighting over a parking space for early bird special in front of Morrisons Cafeteria.

The Russians have INVADED a sovreign country that the USA promised to defend. Or does Bill Clinton's signature on a treay not count anymore?

And when those Russians soldiers cross over from Russian soil to Ukraine soil, and pull up in sight of Nato member Poland, is that just a scuffle, too?

Does Putin need to have a tank parade in Paris, or London, or Scranton, PA, before someone decides it's a big freakin deal?

After their defeat at the Battle of Chickamaugua, Union General William R. Rosecrans and his forces were beseiged in Chattanooga by the Confederates led by Braxton Bragg. Rosecrans had a reputation as a capable general but could not seem to take hold of the gravity of his situation and did little to rally his troops or raise the siege. Lincoln, observing from afar, said that Rosecrans was acting stunned - "Like a duck that's just been hit on the head." When I read comments like those from Mr. Obama airily dismissing Russia's siezure of the Crimea and in effect saying that "it's no big deal", I think of Lincoln's characterization of Rosecrans. A duck that's just been hit on the head.
