Peter Johnson Jr. interviewed Emilie Lamb on Fox & Friends today. Lamb suffers from lupus, and was working in her job as an accountant five days a week and doing what she could to get ahead. Then Obamacare came along and wrecked her financial situation. She says she is now having to work two jobs, seven days a week, just to make ends meet thanks to a dramatic increase in her monthly health insurance premium. Under Obamacare, she went from paying $53 a month to $373 a month.

Johnson, noting that Lamb voted for President Obama and supported Obamacare, asks her if she feels like Obama lied to her.

“Absolutely. Absolutely, he lied,” Lamb said. “I was promised over and over and over again that I was going to be able to keep the policy I had if I liked it. And they knew several years ago that that wasn’t going to be the case. But yet they continued to tell us that we would be able to keep it.”

She's an accountant??? And she has so little understanding of numbers and economics that she supported obamacare??
Nope. She's one who deserves what she's getting. Those of us who have been railing against this, though, get to pay as well. That's what is not fair.

So no one will believe us now because further implementation has been postponed until after the 2014 election. Sorry some have to be run over -- and backed over...to recognize they have been hit.

So her weekends (plus any hope of a social life or a decent amount of family time) have been beheaded by the Affordable Care Axe. Who saw that coming?

You may be an Obama supporter, but are you really willing to support others who will be given your tax money to pay for their health insurance? Your rates go up to support them and your annual deductible amount goes up, too. Obama is trying to delay this, but from then on FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE you will pay those higher rates and deductible costs. Since the Democrats all voted for it, they can’t be depended on to join the effort. It’s up to us to vote for Republicans to get enough people in office who want to repeal the law. This is for all government levels. Remember, it’s YOUR money so vote your pocketbook. This situation is hardly different from your taxes being assigned to support an illegal alien, and that will happen when Amnesty is the law. If you don’t believe that surprise is buried in Obamacare, see
http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/stories/2012/october/11/health-care-immigrants.aspx Also, medical taxes go up in 2014. See http://obamacarefacts.com/obamacare-taxes.php Join with us to our mutual benefit in the Primary elections and in November 2014. After obamacare is repealed or defunded we can go back to our normal bickering.

and a total liberal idiot, sorry I don't feel sorry for her voting to harm herself, but I really get teed off that her vote harmed so many others.

And I hope she enjoys working as much as she does, and has become an indentured servant because she was a low info voter, and elections have consequences.

Worked as an accountant for 5 days a week and now must work two jobs for 7 days a week to cover a $ 320 a month difference in income. There is more to this story than just the insurances costs.

Hello Chemman,

There is more to the story -- you forgot to do the math. She already worked for 5 days a week as an accountant and that pay covered her expenses before the Affordable Care Act. She now works 7 days a week, let's see, 7 minus 5 equals 2. Ah, so she now works weekends! She is probably working a minimum wage job for the weekend and minimum wage times 6-8 hrs a day (assuming that she gets those hours), times 2 days a weekend, times 52 weeks a year (assuming she gets to work each week and never wants a week off) minus taxes and Social Security, travel expenses and a meal during each of those two days (plus any other new work related expenses), divided by 12 months a year, yep, that would be about what she needs to break even, give or take a little.

My guess is that you assumed she would just get more hours with her accountant job at the same pay rate. Well, it doesn't work that way. Honest mistake on your part though.

Thirty two hours a month at $10 per hour, would use up her weekends.
