Sports Guy Bob Costas Turns Putin Into a Global Man of Peace

This is why you really can’t trust anything NBC says or does. Last night, a pink-eyed Bob Costas did a video intro segment on Russia that focused on Vlad Putin. During Putin’s reign, journalists have been murdered, Soviet ways have crept back into vogue, and Putin has become Iran’s and Syria’s go-to big state helper.

Costas didn’t get into any of that. Instead, he whitewashed Putin’s record. He brokered a chemical weapons deal with Syria and brought Iran to the nuclear negotiations table, dontcha know.

Bob Costas really needs to lay off political policy of any kind and just stick to sports.
