Survey: Congressional Staffers Skittish About Obamacare

We’re outta here.

A new survey from the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) shows that 91% of senior staff managers believe their staffers are “worried about possible changes in health benefits” associated with Obamacare, 87% said their staff was “worried about the cost of health insurance,” and 82% said that their staff was “worried about the ability to access local health care providers.” The same survey shows that 38% of the senior staff said they were “likely” or “very likely” to look for work elsewhere in the next year.

The survey identified a number of reasons why the staffers say they may look elsewhere for in the near future. 82% of the respondents said ”Salary freezes” were likely to lead to staff departures, and 79% identified “Changes to health care benefits” as another potential cause of discontent.
