While useful to some, these graphics are typically produced by sovereign citizen groups to help their members avoid arrest while engaging in illegal activities. Indeed, many of the proscribed responses are only helpful if you're actually breaking the law (assuming you are not just an antagonistic ass). While I fully admit that some law enforcement practices are of dubious legality (DUI checkpoints especially), who here really has a problem rolling down your window for an officer, even if you only technically have to crack it open?

Personally, the colors used in the graphics could use a lot of work.

For instance, I had to do a double take to catch the "Police may legally lie, bluff and intimidate you." is just under a border between two colors that causes the information to get lost in the background.

Generally, a bullet point type presentation would have been clearer.

Very useful indeed.

Few years back when my son was a teenager, the local police showed up at 1:00 am. They knocked on the door. He was home, we were already in bed. They were asking questions about some sort of disturbance in the area, never really gave details, asking questions.

Never asked them in. We spoke in the driveway. His car had a "warm engine, had he been out?" I let that one slide and he told them he was hungry so went to Arby's, got food and came home (which is where he was when they rang the doorbell at 1:00 AM). Perfectly reasonable.

They tried several tricks. They tried to separate each family member and kept asking the same questions. I stayed with him and declined to leave his side. The officer asked him "why are you nervous? " when he had him sign some useless document in our driveway in the middle of the night in our pajamas.

Kid did me proud that night. No BS, he said " it is the middle of the night and the cops are questioning me in the driveway, Of course I am nervous".

That turned things around fast. The officer pushed me verbally again to leave so he could question him further. I was nice and respectful. " you have asked him enough. This is my son. He is not going to answer the same questions again. If you have nothing else, my family is going back inside now. Do you have more for me? If not thank you for your job tonight. Good night officers."

That was it.

Epically great except for the post headline, which should be more like:

"Handy Infographic For the Police On How To Avoid Irritating US."

Some states have passed laws making it illegal to record the cops.
