President Barack Obama rode to the White House promising to reach out and find bipartisan solutions to the nation’s problems. He then signed a pair of controversial partisan laws, including Obamacare, which failed to receive a single Republican vote.

Today he is threatening to veto a bill that passed the House with 261 votes, including 39 Democrats and nearly all Republicans. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) is one proposed fix to force the president to keep his word, when he repeatedly promised Americans “If you like your healthcare, you can keep your healthcare. Period.”

It’s now the word on Twitter that it takes an act of Congress to force Barack Obama to keep his word. But even that may not be true, as Obama says he will veto this bipartisan act of Congress.

The reason we cannot get a FULL REPEAL BILL, even at this time, is because too many republicans are in on the scam....McConnell-McCain-Boehner-et al have all positioned themselves to personally profit from the new law; the Potomac Two Step. How do all these men (and women) of moderate means spend 12-18 years in government service and become multi-millionaires? We need a strong, principled LEADER to make our stand against this tyranny and the oppression of the neo-communists....can you hear us, Senator Cruz? Senator Sessions? Rep. Gowdy? Rep. STEVE King?

Remember BENGHAZI!

My only problem with Upton's "fix" is that it should have been held after, if needed, a vote to once again repeal Obamacare. They missed a golden chance to get the Democrats to vote against a repeal during intense public backlash on Obamacare.

The tragic fact is that 51% of the country won't know that he is vetoing something that he proposed himself a day before.

This guy can eat human fetuses on national tv and still have the undying love of his idiot supporters. The relationship is the same as 15 year old boys and internet porn. They ain't giving porn up and they ain't abandoning a guy who isn't caucasian.

Obama is the new Marion Barry. "You have me on video doing cocaine? Why, I didn't set a white line! Who you gonna believe, your lying' eyes or your lovable, wonderful Democrat Mayor?"

The old saying, 'The only thing(s) that will get you fired in DC are getting caught with a live boy or a dead girl' is no longer true. Incompetence, fraud, misfeasance, malfeasance & non-feasance is cause for a promotion in this administration!

This isn't a "Period." either though. It only extends it for one year. The same regulations forcing the higher premiums and minimum coverage are still there, and we'll just have this mess again in a year. A mess that the democrats have to own now, but will be easier to share blame with Republicans then. And it'll be AFTER the election.

It's the same thing with the individual mandate delay attempt. Granted this is better because now people have a taste of the pain the Republicans have been trying to save them from, but it still reduces the political fallout on the Dems while gaining little in actual public gratitude towards Republicans.
