Here’s a dirty little secret for you libertarian readers to ponder: Libertarian Party candidates in close elections are almost always supported by Democrats, to siphon votes away from Republicans. That’s been the case for decades now.

Take these two punches in Virginia together, and if Terry McAuliffe wins it will be a badly tainted victory built on two acts of political fraud.

"McAuliffe is a hideously flawed candidate, so if Cuccinelli cannot win, something is wrong with Cuccinelli."

Four Pinnochios for that statement, Bill. Combine a huge imbalance in cash, fraud, a large contingent of hispanic and black voters who go for the democrat reflexively, women who have been defrauded into thinking that Cuccinelli wants them back in the kitchen, pregnant and barefoot...none of that means there is something wrong with Cuccinelli, a highly honorable man.

What's very wrong with Terry McAuliffe is a matter of public record..

Bryan, I'm not a Libertarian, but consider that fact that if the Republican Party was doing a good job of pushing Constitutionalist ideals, there'd be no chance of a Libertarian candidate siphoning votes.

Just something for you Republican readers to ponder.

So, where's the surprise? The Republicans knew they were dealing with filthy, standards democrats and should have countered. Why didn't they?
Sarvis did the same as Perot did to Bush I! A vote for a splinter 3rd party is ALWAYS a vote for corruption, i.e., the democrat.
Bam got through two elections telling gross lies about his opposition. Why is this a surprise?

Who is Sarvis? Where did he come from? what are his Libertarian credentials?
can anyone with enough funds declare himself a Libertarian and run? Is there an actual Libertarian organization that sanctions these pretenders?

" . . . The progressives are hyped up right now but Republicans need to heed the lesson I learned from former Marine First Sergeant Jim Reinfinger, “if you ever find yourself in a fair fight, its because your tactics suck.”

Congratulations Libertarians! You have fulfilled your mission and elected McAuliffe. It looks like your victory may be incomplete as it appears that the Republicans will probably still control the House of Delegates.

Sad results because the population of the Beltway counties etc. will have the power to subject the Commonwealth to this travesty. But do not rely on the Virginia GOP for anything. If they were in control of the moon it would fall from the sky. I know them well and most of them are not conservative at all. Texas here I go!

It is sad that so many people have fallen into the victimology mode. Those who vote for McAuluffe do so willingly, with intent; it may be a thoughtless vote but they purposefully walk in a pull the lever for this cretin. They aren't tricked, or misled or anything else. VA deserves what they get as does NY as does Cali with Boxer, Feinstein, Waxman, Waters, Brown et al. God help us all.

It is sad so many have, unconsciously apparently, assumed the mantel of victimology. Anyone who votes for McAulluffe does so purposefully, they have not been hoodwinked, tricked, or anything else. They have CHOSEN to vote for him. The people of VA deserve what they get if they elect this cretin. Just as the people of NY deserve what they will get with DiBlasio, the people of Cali deserve what we get with Boxer, Feinstein, Waxman, Water, Brown et al. Will we neveer learn?

As author Mr. Preston stated Cuccinelli was the 1st and one of the more vocal opponents to Uhbamacare following it's passage.

Reluctantly I'll say if McAuluffe is deemed the winner.. then like the rest of the nation VA has a majority of VERY low informed, forgiving or forgetful though ultimately stupid people at the polls.

A robo-call, stern talking to or a slap to the face won't change their being stupid.

THe Democrats can't win a fair election. Apparently, supporting the libertarian candidate wasn't doing it for them, they need to pile on.
