President Obama should have acted in Syria 20 months ago when Al Qaeda had not infiltrated the rebels. Mr. Obama should have acted before over 100,000 people lay dead. But just like the Green revolution in Iran, Obama dithered. Al Qaeda didn’t.  The terrorists recognized the opportunity in Syria. The sad thing is it appears that Al Qaeda showed more leadership than the US president? Now, chemical weapons have been used.  Assad should not have been allowed to remain in power and able to pull that deadly trigger. It’s been almost 2 years since Mr. Obama called for Assad to step down. The dictator was so intimidated by America’s president, that he stayed in power, killed 100,000 people and then gassed and killed over a thousand more. Obama’s “lead from behind” foreign policy is a travesty and shows the intelligence of a five year old. I am disgusted that this president has backed our nation into a corner where we NOW have no good options. Many are rightly asking, “What is the point of drawing red lines, calling for Assad to be gone and then do nothing for 20 months watching the situation deteriorate?” I take no pleasure in saying that it’s a reflection of Obama’s “governing” style. He thinks all he has to do is give a speech, and the sheer magnificence of his presence will solve the world’s and the country’s problems. He’s learning that foreign policy takes more than pretty speeches and talking down his own country abroad.

But, Obama is going to fix everything with another speech. To the American people this time, probably next Tuesday.

Problem is, I don't believe a word he says; he's lied to me too many times, about too many different things. Besides I've heard his arguments on this issue, and none of them make sense to me. I have no confidence in this Affirmative Action fraud, and certainly do not believe he is competent to wage war. If he goes ahead with an attack on Syria after Congress rejects the resolution to intervene, I say it's time we got serious about impeachment.

This clown took Carter's nadir as a challenge, and whipped him at the game! The truly shocking thing here is that America elected him a second time! O is a great speech-reader. Period. Of course what makes him such, is that he really does believe in himself! Talk about believing your own press-releases.

" O is a great speech-reader. Period."

Not really - his speeches are always interspersed with ers, uhs, and 'we need to make shu-ures'. Not exactly the hallmark of a great orator. I once heard Colin Powell give a speech - talk about an exceptional orator - and not a single er or uh was uttered.

That's more than a bit off. Obama's Foreign Policy isn't in ruins, as he *has* has no Foreign Policy vision. He is 100% reactive.

And his reactions are 100% wrong, too.

I completely agree. Saying "His Foreign Policy is in Ruin" presupposes that he had one in the first place, which he clearly never has. I also agree with Rock. His speeches are stilted and halting. He is a lousy orator. A good orator does not need a teleprompter. He also tends to use the phrase "Let me be clear" which is usually followed by something with the clarity of a mud puddle.
