I’ve avoided this story because, frankly, it’s about naked Geraldo Rivera. I don’t want to write about that. Ever.
But now it’s pretty clear that he’s tweeting himself naked as a way to roll out his political career. He must’ve figured, hey, it’s working for the Weiner!
Geraldo Rivera may be watched by millions on television, but when he gets home at night, there’s no one to talk to.
After coming under fire for posting a half-nude selfie picture on Twitter, the famed TV personality tried to explain why he did it.
“I did a great show on black-on-black crime and race relations and the Trayvon Martin fallout and federal charges … and I get home and there’s no one to talk to, everyone’s asleep,” Rivera explained on 95.5 FM’s Scott & Todd morning show about his “Geraldo at Large” TV show, which he films Saturday nights.
So get a PS3, dude. Watch SportsCenter. Don’t inflict your naked self on an unsuspecting world.
Still “wired” from work, Rivera admitted to having “a couple of drinks.”
“This weekend, it was tequila. I never do tequila when I’m alone, but I had this new bottle that someone had given me for my birthday,” the 70-year-old star admitted. “By the second one, my fate was sealed.”
And so was ours. So. Was. Ours.
Drinking tequila, thinking about a selfie he’d already taken earlier (dude — also, if Geraldo Rivera tries to hand you his phone, RUN), proud that he’d learned to use Twitter (hardly an achievement), Gerry grabbed the phone, stripped off, clicked, and tweeted.
