Is there no end to this white Hispanic devil’s evil?

George Zimmerman, who has been in hiding since he was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, emerged to help rescue someone who was trapped in an overturned truck, police said today.

Sanford Police Department Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News that Zimmerman “pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over” at the intersection of a Florida highway last week. Florida Highway Patrol is now handling the case, McAuliffe said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route 417, police said. The crash site is less than a mile from where he shot Martin.

Jokes aside, Zimmerman is facing hundreds of death threats and the New Black Panthers’ bounty is still on his head. Yet he came out of hiding, at the risk of his life, to help a total stranger.

That’s an act of courage. Eric Holder is still looking to prosecute him, with Barack Obama’s blessing.

More: I wish I was making this up. A few minutes ago I was driving back to my Hill Country lair from a meeting, and turned on the radio. Local talk show, politics, culture, the usual stuff. The hosts kicked off the show talking about this story. The first caller to get through was a guy who said that he didn’t believe the story. He said he believed Zimmermans is guilty and just made up the story to start trying to get people to like him.

The hosts pointed out that Sanford police are the source for the story, not Zimmerman. They asked the caller if he believed that the local police and sheriff’s department made up the crash and filed a false report just to help Zimmerman. The caller said that, well, the crash may have happened but that they’re making up Zimmerman’s involvement.
