Yesterday Bryan Preston had this piece about Texas implementing Voter ID after the Supreme Court’s Shelby opinion.

Not so fast.

Today Gerry Hebert, an attorney profiled often at PJ Media, filed a lawsuit to stop it.

Stay tuned.

Anyone too lazy, incompetent or stupid to obtain a valid ID should be allowed to vote.

I just read the entire complaint and, just, wow!
Apparently one of the plaintiff's names on her license doesn't match her voter ID card and she's responsible enough to vote but too irresponsible to get online and fix her information.
Another is a community organizer who, if SB14 is enacted will not be able to drag a bunch of folks without IDs to the polls thus having her constitutional right to participate in the political process.
Several are politicians whose campaigns will be more expensive to run if someone in their district doesn't have a proper ID.
Another is a disabled Army veteran in a wheelchair who, despite being able to adequately demonstrate who he is to get VA benefits claims to not have the proper ID in order to vote (it's not easy to get the VA to pay out benefits...I know from experience).
And apparently a hurricane hit Galveston county recently enough that the aftermath of the storm has created incredible hardship and inability to get proper ID.

Anyone who ever had any suspicions about the intelligence of the low-info voters...consider your suspicions confirmed. They are stupid or lazy (and sometimes both)!

Do the plaintiffs have standing to bring suit? How do they intend to demonstrate injury or harm?

Was there any doubt that Obama's flying monkey assault squad would go to the mat to protect illegal voting? I hate to be so cynical, but it's a cynicism born of experience.
