Some reporters seem determined to prove themselves to be out of touch idiots today. Not half an hour ago, the Boston Globe’s Billy Baker tweeted this.

Yes, it’s quite inexplicable that someone would use an instrument that when played skillfully captures a mournful yet hopeful spirit, to play an uplifting song reminding listeners that there is more to life than today’s struggles. Inexplicable, indeed.

Ace of Spades is sarcastically equally mystified.

According to his Twitter ID, intrepid reporter Billy Baker is working on a book about jugglers. For whatever that’s worth.

Bryan Preston has been a leading conservative blogger and opinionator since founding his first blog in 2001. Bryan is a military veteran, worked for NASA, was a founding blogger and producer at Hot Air, was producer of the Laura Ingraham Show and, most recently before joining PJM, was Communications Director of the Republican Party of Texas.

Give the guy a break. He's a grad of Columbia J-School. Which means he is ignortant and/or antipathetic regarding America, its culture, and the majority of people who live in it.

His "break" is that he doesn't get shipped off to Pyongyang to learn about alternatives to America.

Oddly enough, bagpipes are the perfect instrument for "Amazing Grace". This jerk is just uncultured.
